Among them, 867 samples are from external environment, surfaces of objects, and water. The other 338 are samples of imported food. So far, the result of nucleic acid testing on these samples are negative.

III. Key Measures for Normalized Covid-19 Prevention and Control in Shanghai

Adhering to the principle of “preventing the coronavirus from entering and spreading within the city”, Shanghai is focused on such 6 key areas as deploying tight check at the entrance, paying attention to and maintaining good order in residential areas and hotels, managing transient populations, serving businesses in their resumption of operation, protecting students and faculty members in schools, and bringing into full play the sentries for inspection. The city implements the responsibilities of localities, departments, working units, and individuals, and strictly puts all kinds of normalized COVID-19 prevention and control measures into effect. To be specific, Shanghai will focus on the following 7 key aspects:

1. We will continue carrying out temperature screening of people travelling to Shanghai, inspect and verify their “health codes” at airports and train stations, and strengthen pushing health notices including the “Voluntary Declaration of People Travelling/Returning to Shanghai from High and Medium Risk Regions”.

2. We will enhance the community-based COVID-19 prevention and control, and screen the people travelling/returning to Shanghai from high and medium risk regions.

3. We will mobilize enterprises and public institutions to serve as the responsible parties for enhancing health management of their employees and continue to report fever patients from the minimum of zero. Enterprises are encouraged and supported to organize employees recently travelling to high and medium risk regions for nucleic acid testing.

4. We will strengthen the building of fever clinics and sentries of medical institutions, the pre-test and triage, and inquiry of historical epidemiology of suspected patients with fever.

5. We will enhance the building of testing capability in the labs and keep adding more testing institutions to conduct nucleic acid testing on the people from high risk regions for work resumption and provide testing for those on voluntary basis.

6. We will intensify the risk monitoring of products imported from high risk countries and regions and carry out the full-process sampling of related products and environment.

7. We will reinforce the management of key locations including farmers markets and launch body temperature checking and information registration for the people entering or leaving the locations. Moreover, we will take measures to screen the people travelling/returning to Shanghai from high and medium risk regions, clean and disinfect the locations on a regular basis. We will continue the dynamic environmental monitoring in the places with dense groups of people.

IV. Continue the Health Management of the People Travelling/Returning to Shanghai from High and Medium Risk Regions of COVID-19.
