The contacts of the above three cases are under centralized isolation for medical observation. We have completed terminal disinfection in the places where the cases went and stayed.

Upon the emergence of newly confirmed cases, the municipal- and district-level authorities acted promptly by assembling a joint expert team to carry out comprehensive epidemiological survey, trace and screen related personnel. These authorities also took corresponding disease prevention and control measures on related personnel and environment.

The three cases announced today, together with the 18 cases reported previously, made the total number of local cases in Shanghai rise to 21. All the confirmed cases are being treated in Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center based on their symptoms. Among them, 18 are moderate cases and three mild cases.
